Abstract :
An ITER relevant repetitive operation (800 kW/600 s/20–30 min interval) is performed during 8 days in order to demonstrate the applicability of the gyrotron for ITER. Seventy-two shots successfully continued until the end of the pulse. The success rate is 82%. Shot by shot stability of voltage, current, power and frequency is measured. The voltage change (±0.2%) is small compared to the beam current (±2.5%). The shot by shot difference of the power is ±3% that is dominated by the beam current. The change of the frequency is small (<10 MHz) if all parameters are same. These results show the present gyrotron can be utilized for the ITER EC H&CD system.
