Abstract
The model of toroiidal acceleration of carbon pellets in tokamaks has been improved by taking into account the angle distribution of ablated atoms. A simpler connection between the asymmetry of the electron heat fluxes and the toroidal pellet acceleration is also used that does not require a knowledge of the pellet shape evolution during ablation. The improved model has been applied to measurements of current density profiles after the electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) pulses with co- and counter-directions of the inductive plasma current relative to the direction of the current driven by means of the gyrotron emission. Results indicate a difference of the current density profiles measured in co- and counter-directions of the gyrotron emission.
