Abstract :
A management strategy for activated waste from SEAFP fusion plant models is based on recycling and clearance for in-vessel and ex-vessel materials, respectively. The reduction of the long-lived radioactivity to attain clearance conditions also for in-vessel V-4Cr-4Ti is investigated here. The potential to attain clearance conditions depends on:• ng concentration of impurities; essing the irradiated material to eliminate noxious nuclides still present in undue concentrations: in particular K-42, Ar-42 deriving from titanium, and not from impurities, as well as other nuclides.
