Abstract :
Water-cooled 32×400 mm divertor target mockups with W-rod armor and dual cooling channels, tested in Sandiaʹs large electron beam facility (EB1200) and Particle Beam Engineering Facility (PBEF) at JAERI sustained heat loads of 22–25 MW/m2. After the EB1200 tests, we cut the 10 mm rod length to 5 mm on two mockups and tested the remachined mockups in PBEF.
