Abstract :
Employees’ attitude to work environment is of great importance in increasing the efficiency of organizations
activity namely regarding the hospital employees under the pressure of mental conditions and the shortage
of human and physical resources. The present study aimed to evaluate the attitude of hospital employees to
the physical and mental conditions of work place. The study was field-research applied design. Due to the
finite number of the statistical population, sampling was not used and the researcher-built questionnaire
was distributed among all employees of Shahid Beheshti hospital of Zanjan city in Iran. In this study,
descriptive and inference statistics methods are used for results analysis. In this paper, it is assumed that
there is a significant association between good environmental factors and job attitude of the employees. The
results showed that mental conditions of work place (79.6%) had more significance than physical conditions
of work place (74.09%). As the hospital employees work in a stressful environment and are exposed to the
requests of patients, their relatives, Physicians and other co-workers, some recommendations are presented
to improve their attitude to the physical and mental conditions of work place.
