Abstract :
A convenient and mild methodology is described for the preparation of 3,4- dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones in the presence of sodium alginate as the biopolymer catalyst. The sodium alginate was found as a novel, very mild, recyclable, ecient, eco-friendly and very noteworthy biopolymer catalyst.
