Abstract :
The addiction phenomenon to the work is among cases in the management science and the scope of organizational behavior which few studies are accomplished about them. In the paper is set by introducing workaholism and its effects on individuals, organization, and society, unit the organizations managers pay more attention on understanding this distractive phenomenon rather than its managers in their organizations. Workaholism is an addict process; A process which resulted individual addicted to a special behavior, it made the change in the mood and chemical changes. This condition is deleterious for family and his social life in the work or outside of it. The addiction to working resulted in exhaustion, lack of good relation with other colleagues, or being less time and energy for family life, friends, hobbies and other activities. The main weakness which was observed in most of organizations, is that organizations without understanding of the addiction phenomenon to the work, encourage its employees to the more work with different methods and know productivity of the organization with respect to the more working and producing, and with this respect without knowing its following and unintentionally, people encourage in order to work more and addiction, while studying this phenomenon shows this addiction has adverse effect. It is better, organizations instead of more working of individuals in order to make balance between working and personal life, enough working and enjoyable and also managing time in addition to productivity, carry out its own responsibility.
