Abstract :
Aromatic aldehydes are efficiently condensed with 2hydroxyacetophenone by polymersupported basic ionic liquid as an excellent heterogeneous catalyst utilizing the Claisen–Schmidt reaction. Microwave irradiation has been employed, providing flavanone in good yield and short reaction time.
