Abstract :
The effects of chemical reaction, thermal stratification, Soret and Dufour numbers on magnetohydrodynamic free convective heat and mass transfer of a viscous, incompressible,and electrically conducting fluid on a vertical stretching surface embedded in a saturated porous medium are presented. A similarity transform is used to reduce the governing partial differential equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations, which is solved analytically by means of homotopy analysis method. The results are compared with numerical predictions obtained by fourth order RungeKutta method. Close agreement is observed between the two sets of results. The method is led to an expression, which is acceptable for all values of effective parameters and controls the convergence of the solution.
