  • Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of peer assessment on oral presentation of Iranian English non-major students. To this end, 52 students of Azad and State universities of Tabriz were selected as participants. Their ages ranged from 25 to 38. The peer assessment was incorporated into the experimental group’s course to explore whether and to what extent their oral presentation skills may enhance. Data were obtained through a Likert scale questionnaire of peer assessment. Data were analyzed using SPSS Software. The results specified a statistically significant difference among the groups. The findings of the present study also suggest that, when assessment criteria are definitely established, peer assessment empowers students to evaluate the performance of their peers in a manner comparable to those of the teachers.
