The Effect of Using Team-Based Learning by Teaching Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction on the Achievement of Learning Objects in Nursing Students

مقدمه: يادگيري مبتني بر تيم يكي از روش هاي مورد تاكيد آموزش پزشكي مي باشد. آموزش و يادگيري داراي اصولي مي باشد كه زيربناي آموزش موثر است و به اصول اوليه آموزش مريل معروف است. پژوهش حاضر به بررسي تاثير استفاده از يادگيري مبتني بر تيم به‌صورت تلفيقي با اصول مريل بر ميزان دستيابي به اهداف آموزشي در دانشجويان پرستاري پرداخته است. روش: اين پژوهش از نوع نيمه آزمايشي و طرح پژوهشي مورد استفاده، طرح پيش آزمون-پس آزمون با گروه كنترل بود. جامعه آماري، كليه دانشجويان كارشناسي دانشگاه علوم پزشكي اردبيل، پرديس مشكين شهر در سال تحصيلي 95-1394 بود. نمونه شامل يك كلاس رشته پرستاري بود و به صورت نمونه گيري در دسترس انتخاب گرديد (47 نفر) كه بصورت تصادفي ساده در دو گروه كنترل (23 نفر) و آزمايش (24 نفر) گنجانده شدند. قبل از اجراي آموزش، از هر دو گروه پيش آزمون بعمل آمد؛ سپس طرح مورد نظر به مدت 5 هفته اجرا و در نهايت پس آزمون اجرا شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 20 و روش تحليل كوواريانس تجزيه و تحليل شد. نتايج: نتايج نشان داد كه نمرات اهداف آموزشي در گروه آزمايش به ترتيب در سطح يادآوري و كاربرد از 68/2 و 31/1 به 83/17 و 12/16 افزايش يافته است اما اين تفاوت در گروه كنترل به ميزان كمتري است. بين ميزان دستيابي به اهداف آموزشي گروه آزمايش و كنترل تفاوت معناداري وجود دارد (001/0P < ) و گروه آزمايش از يادگيري بهتري برخوردار است. نتيجه گيري: با استفاده از يادگيري مبتني بر تيم و اصول اوليه آموزش مريل به‌صورت تلفيقي، مي توان ميزان دستيابي به اهداف آموزشي را بهبود بخشيد.

Introduction: Team-based learning is one of the methods emphasized in medical education. Teaching and learning has some principles that are the base of effective education and are known as Merrill’s First Principles. This study examines the effect of using team-based learning combined with Merrill’s Principles on achieving learning objectives in nursing students. Method: This research was conducted as semi-experimental and the applied research plan was and pre-test/past-test plan using a control group. The statistical population was all undergraduate students of Ardebil University of Medical Sciences, Meshkin Shahr Campus in years 2015-2016. The sample group included a class of nursing field that were selected as convenience Convenient Sampling (n=47), which were put into two groups of control (n=23) and test (n=24) as simple randomly. A pre-test were given to both groups prior to the implementation of the trainings; then the intended plan was executed for 5 weeks and at the end, a post-test was given to them. The data was analyzed using SPSS 2.0 applying covariance analysis method. Results: The results showed that the learning objectives scores in test group was increased as 2.68 & 1.31 to 17.83 & 12.16 for reminding and application levels respectively; but the difference is less in the control group. There is a significant difference between the achievement of learning objectives in test and control groups (p < 0.001) and the test group had better learning. Conclusion: Using team-based learning combined with Merrill’s First Principles, we can improve learning objectives achievements.
