Abstract :
Reservoirs constitute the single largest inland fishery resource, both in terms of size and productive potential. The productivity of a reservoir depends on various factors such as the available water area, water quality, availability of planktonic food, stocking rate, methods of exploitation of the stock and the type of management of the fishery (Vass and Sugunan, 2009).
