Abstract
There is a growing tendency where medicalization of public health through mass therapeutics and secondary preventive measures are being substituted for primary preventive activity. Scaled‑up mass therapeutic intervention in the community is being confused with
public health intervention. The objective of this paper is to provide a broad public health and epidemiological criteria for public health intervention and public health impact.
