Abstract :
Fahr syndrome, defi ned by German neurologist Karl
Theodor Fahr in 1930, includes neurologic, psychiatric,
and cognitive disorders of unknown etiology, and is
characterized by symmetric calcifi cations in the basal
ganglia and cerebellar dentate nucleus, in individuals
aged 5-65 years.
