Abstract :
Baylis-Hillman adducts were efficiently acetylated with acetic anhydride in the presence of nano-Fe3O4 at room temperature. In this protocol the use of nano catalyst provided a green, useful and rapid method to generate the product in short reaction times (5-15 min) and excellent yields (84-95%). This catalyst can be recovered and reused.
