Abstract :
Weconsiderunconstrainedoptimizationproblemsusingtheexpensiveobjectivefunctioninwhichthederivativesarenotavail-able.Thispropertyofproblemscanoftenimpedetheperformanceofoptimizationalgorithms.MostalgorithmsusuallydetermineaQuasi-Newtondirectionandthenuselinesearchtechnique.Weproposeasmoothingalgorithmwhichisdevelopedtomodifytrustregionandtohandletheobjectivefunctionbasedonradialbasisfunctions(RBFs).Thevalueofobjectivefunctionisreducedaccordingtotherelationwiththepredictedreductionofsurrogatemodel.AteachiterationweconstructthequadraticmodelbasedonRBFs.Theglobalconvergenceofthepro-posedmethodisstudied.Thenumericalresultsarepresentedforsomestandardtestproblemtovalidatethetheoreticalresults.
