Abstract :
We present streamlined proofs of certain maximality principles studied by Hamkins and Woodin. Moreover, we formulate an intermediate maximality principle, which is shown here to be equiconsistent with the existence of a weakly compact cardinal κ such that Vκ ≺ V .
