Abstract :
Threecomponent coupling of 2naphthol, aldehydes, and urea has been accomplished in the presence of FeCl3 under microwave irradiation and solventfree conditions to afford the corresponding synthesis of 1phenyl1, 2dihydro3Hnaphtho[1,2e][1,3]oxazin3onederivatives in excellent yields. It is a promising catalyst for the microwaveassisted reaction providing high product yield in a short period.
