Abstract :
An important issue in designing knowledge base systems is to reduce the search time in the process of inference. New approaches are mostly upon using the parallel architectures. In this paper an algorithm for decomposition of a large knowledge base into a set of small knowledge bases is proposed. The rules in the small knowledge bases are all independent from each other. Therefore the decomposition algorithm will result in a pipeline implementation of the large knowledge base.
