Abstract :
Herein a direct method for synthesis of tetracyanocyclopropanes by the treatment of carbonyl compounds, malononitrile and hexamethylenetetraminebromine (HMTAB) is described in the presence of catalytic amount of DABCO in ethanol media at room temperature.
