Abstract :
This paper set out to determine norm-wise, mixed, and component-wise condition numbers of the nonlinear matrix equation A0 +kΣi=1σiA∗iXpiAi = 0, σi = ±1. Explicit expressions of the condition numbers are derived. Upper bounds of the mixed and the component-wise condition numbers are obtained for the real matrix equation. The effectiveness of the condition numbers proposed are illustrated by numerical examples.
