Abstract
Belonging to Scombridae family, longtail tuna (Thunnus tonggol) is an economically important epipelagic species inhabiting tropical to subtropical regions of the Indo-Pacific, and is found almost exclusively in the neritic waters close to landmasses and rarely in offshore, turbid waters and estuaries (Froese and Pauly, 2015).
