Editorial: COVID-19 and Endodontic Emergencies

A novel coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China in late December 2019. The virus has rapidly spread to numerous countries worldwide, and announced as a pandemic outbreak by the World Health Organization. The causative pathogen was named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS- COV-2), and the disease deriving from SARS-COV-2 was termed COVID-19; this virus has become a major public health challenge worldwide [1]. Unfortunately, as of 27 April 2020, a total of 3,004,887 cases of COVID-19 has been confirmed globally including 207, 254 deaths
