Abstract :
Appearance, taste, and bioactive compounds of `Lane Late´ orange fruits on three substandard
or semi-dwarfing rootstocks [Forner-Alcaide no. 5, Forner-Alcaide no. 13 and
Forner-Alcaide no. 41] were evaluated in Spain against three more traditional rootstocks
[Carrizo citrange, Citrus macrophylla and `Cleopatra´ mandarin]. Different harvesting
times were identified per rootstock. The most suitable harvesting time for `Lane Late´
orange fruits on `Cleopatra´ mandarin, Forner-Alcaide no. 13 or Forner-Alcaide no. 5
was March, between one and two months later than Citrus macrophylla, Carrizo citrange
or Forner-Alcaide no. 41, more relevant date for this late-season navel orange. Despite
harvesting `Lane Late´ orange fruits on the most suitable date for each rootstock,
significant differences in overall fruit quality were observed among them. Thus, Citrus
macrophylla induced the largest size but also the lowest organoleptic quality, Carrizo
citrange induced the lowest bioactive compounds content, while Forner-Alcaide no. 5,
Forner-Alcaide no. 13 and `Cleopatra´ mandarin induced the highest internal quality.
Lane Late orange fruits on Forner-Alcaide no. 41 showed an intermediate behavior.

هدف اين پژوهش ارزيابي شكل ظاهري، طعم، و مواد زيست فعال ميوه پرتقال Lane Late روي سه پايه زيراستاندارد يا نيمه كوتاه شامل Forner-Alcaide no.5 ، Forner-Alcaide no.13 ، و Forner-Alcaide no.41 در مقايسه با سه پايه سنتي شامل Carrizo citrange، Citrus macrophylla ، و `Cleopatra´ mandarin در اسپانيا بود. براي هر پايه زمان برداشت متفاوتي شناسايي شد. مناسبترين زمان برداشت براي ميوه پرتقال Lane Late روي پايه هاي Cleopatra´ mandarin،Forner-Alcaide no. 13 ، يا Forner-Alcaide no. 5 درماه مارس بود كه بين يك تا دو ماه ديرتر از Citrus macrophylla، Carrizo citrange ، يا Forner-Alcaide no. 41 بود و براي اين پرتقال ناول ديررس مناسب تر است. با وجود آنكه ميوه پرتقال Lane Late روي هر پايه در مناسبترين زمان برداشت شد، تفاوت هاي معناداري در مورد كيفيت كلي ميوه ميان آنها مشاهده شد. از اين قرار،Citrus macrophylla بزرگترين اندازه را القا كرد ولي در عين حال ميوه كمترين كيفيت ارگانولپتيك را داشت، در حاليكه پايه Carrizo citrange كمترين محتواي مواد زيست فعال را القا كرد و پايه هاي Forner-Alcaide no. 5، Forner-Alcaide no. 13 ، و Cleopatra´ mandarin بيشترين كيفيت دروني را القا كردند. ميوه پرتقالهاي Lane Late روي پايه Forner-Alcaide no. 41 رفتاري ميانه نشان دادند.
