Abstract :
It is a great pleasure to introduce the Turkish Journal of Physics’ first issue of 2011 which has been anounced as the 100th Anniversary of the discovery of superconductivity. In this present issue, the research articles are classified as follows: The first two papers are concerned with Device Physics, the third and the fourth ones are related to Magnetic Materials and Optical Sensors, respectively, the latter two are some unique studies on Atomic and Nuclear Physics and the last concerns the Environmental Physicists
