Abstract
In this article, electromagnetomechanical responses of a radially polarized rotating shaft made from functionally graded piezoelectric material (FGPM) and subjected to a uniform magnetic field withmechanical loads and electric potentials are investigated. All material, electrical, and magnetic properties were assumed to follow an identical power law in the radial direction. Exact solutions for electric displacement, stresses, electric potentials, and perturbation of the magnetic field vector are presented using the infinitesimal theory of electromagnetoelasticity. Numerical results showed that responses were strongly affected by power law index β . We could optimize the responses by manipulating β , electric potential, and magnetic field intensity
