A Thinking Process For Designing a Better Research Study

Once the research topic is selected and various aspects of its merits are explored, a researcher must begin to consider how to design the actual research study. A variety of activities can start this process. They include conducting a review of literature related to the topic, examining various theoretical models related to the topic, and generating potential research questions that the researcher wants to answer. The experience of this author has been that the last of these, generating research questions, has proven to be the most useful one.
