Abstract :
Ear lobule keloids are considered a major challenge for treatment because of its liability to recur despite aggressive surgical intervention. Laser has proven its efficacy to reduce or remove ear lobule keloids. In this study, single repeated pulses of CO2 laser (10600 nm) was applied in non overlapping (drilling) method along the whole surface of the keloid followed by intra-lesional injection of long acting corticosteroids. Sixteen female patients were treated by this method under local anaesthia with good results, minimal residual scarring and minimal complication.
