Abstract :
Thrombocytopenia is a common finding in the intensive care unit (ICU) with platelet counts below 100,000 per µl. during pregnancy many cases can lead to thrombocytopenia as HELLP syndorome, fatty liver of pregnancy or other associated diseases as acute liver failure, DIC, sepsis. Thrombocytopenia is diagnosed by laboratory test, and the immediate priorities in these thrombocytopenic pregnant patients are to start therapeutic lines before a definitive cause of the defect is established.
