  • Abstract
Objectives: The aim of this study is to present the results of an underused outpatient myringoplasty technique using adipose tissue. Patients and Methods: Eighteen patients were carefully selected for this study. Criteria of success were complete closure of the perforation in a maximum of four weeks. Sixteen ears healed while only two patients were referred to conven¬tional surgery. Conclusion: Fat graft myringoplasty is a reliable technique for closure of small to medium-sized perforations in carefully selected patients. The technique is simple, of short duration and safe to perform in an out-patient establishment.
