Abstract :
Parasitic infections present a major medical problem, especially in tropical countries. Authors overlook the recent findings in the field of the complex interrelationship among nutrition, immune status and parasitic infestations. The aim of this work was to evaluate the role of natural killer cells in intestinal parasitic infections in children, and to measure zinc level of those children. This study included 80 children, 66 have parasitic infection (34 females and 32 males), and 14 were normal controls (8 males and 6 females).
