Abstract :
Objectives: The present study was carried out with the aim to: identify the different types of male sexual problems among the study group, identify the effect of male sexual problems on their wive s physical and psychological health (from the wives point of view), identify the effect of nursing management, for managing the physical and psychological problems of wive s which are affected by the male sexual problems. Design: Descriptive analytical design. Setting: The study was conducted at the counseling center of youth health in the Teaching Hospital at Shebein El-Kom, Menoufiya Governorate. Subjects: A purposive sample was used for conduction of this study. It included 100 women. Data Collection Tools: The data for the present study was collected using three tools, interview questionnaire, psychtest and knowledge assessment sheet. Statistical Analysis: The data collected were tabulated and analyzed by SPSS statistical package version lion IBM compatible computer. Quantitative data were expressed as mean and standard deviations. Qualitative data were expressed as number and percentage and analyzed by applying chi- square test, all these tests were used as tests of significance at p-value 0.05. Results: Based on the result of this study, The majority of the studied women suffering from sexual, physical, psy- chological, psychosomatic and social problems as a reflection of their husband sexual problems. Analysis of the studied women s knowledge, before and after nursing management revealed that, there was statistically significant improvements in all related items and indicated also that, (81%) of the women in the study sample had poor knowledge before management compared to (85%) had good knowledge after management. Recommendations: The present study recommended to integrate patient education and counseling at all levels of woman s care; about female sexual rights, male and female sexual dysfunctional and about the serious effects of sexual dysfunctional on the woman s health.Involving husband in the educational sessions is suggested because more information is necessary to get women and men to ask for medical help as early as possible.
