Abstract :
Liver transplantation is associated with intraoperative bleeding and substantial red blood cell (RBC) transfusion requirements. Although blood safety has improved over the past 20 yr, adverse effects of blood products transfusion are still suspected, including such effects on outcome and graft survival in liver transplantation.
