Abstract :
Aim of the Work: Evaluation of the urodynamic findings in adults suffering from persistent lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), and otherwise normal clinical findings. Patients and Methods: 30 men patients with storage and voiding lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and otherwise normal clinical findings were assessed in our study by uroflowmetry, filling cystometry and pressure-flow studies. The exclusion criteria were urinary tract infections, diabetes mellitus, bladder outflow obstruction, neuropathies, urinary stones or neoplasm, or any other condition or any drug treatment possibly affecting bladder functions. Results: Of the 30 adult men referred to our urodynamic unit suffered from LUTS and otherwise normal clinical find-ings, detrusor underactivity on pressure-flow studies could be confirmed. Conclusions: Urodynamic studies are worthy in these group of patients to identify detrusor underactivity and hence can be treated and solved their problems.
