Abstract :
Adolescence is a critical period of development charac-terized by significant changes in brain development, endocri-nology, emotions, cognition, and behavior. In addition, from a mental health perspective, adolescent is important period because most of the major disorders begin not in childhood but during adolescence. Aim: This study was aimed at assessing the impact of family and peer relationship on perceived life satisfaction among adolescent female students. Design: A descriptive correlation research design was utilized in this study. Setting: The study was carried out in females preparatory and secondary school of Ebin El-Hakam at Cairo, Egypt. Sample: A convenient sample for preparatory and second-ary school which is consisted of 165 for both students their ages were ranged between 12-20 year. Tools for Data Collection: Socio-demographic data sheet such as age, residence, educational level, hobbies, family size, order between siblings, family income etc... Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (LSQ) El Desouki. Findings: The primary findings showed that most of the study sample their age were ranged between 12-14 year representing 78.8%, about half of the sample 48.5% their income were ranged between 500-950 Egyptian Pounds per capita in relation to family size about, 40.6% of the study sample their family size were more than 8 members, there is, a statistically significant positive correlation between family members relations and level of satisfaction where r=.20 at p=.01, statistically significant positive correlations was found between life satisfaction and peer relation r=.20 at p=.001. Conclusion: It was concluded that a statistically significant correlation were found between life satisfaction, family members relation and peer relation, Social relation and decisión making abilities. Recommendatión: The present study recomended that, encourage adolescents ability to express their feelings help them to develop friendships that provide validation, support, intimacy, and companionship.
