Updating Search Engines Using Meta-Updates

Web search engines provide an extremely valuable service by indexing web content. However, much of this content is fluid; it changes, moves, and occasionally disappears, which leads to novel challenge to keep search engines up-to-date. This paper investigates how to keep search engines up-to-date by proposing meta-updates technique. Meta updates keep useful information about the behavior of a page to be provided to the spider of the search engine. The proposed technique saves many overheads in complex probabilities calculation suggested in the related works.
