Abstract :
Obesity-related chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease are the leading causes of disability and death worldwide.1 They account for nearly 60% of all deaths. Approximately 80% of non-communicable diseases occur in low and middle-income countries,2 with increasing prevalence in developing countries such as Iran.3 The mortality rate attributable to diabetes and cardiovascular disease has been estimated to be more than 400 per 100,000 in Iran
