Abstract :
The Malaysian Ministry of Education implemented the policy of teaching Science and Mathematics in English. As a result of this change in language policy, the Malaysia Examination Board and Malaysia Examination Council use bilingual test (English and Malay language) to assess the two subjects at all levels of the public examinations. Studies have shown that tests in different languages may not exhibit psychometric equivalence. This study is conducted to determine whether sources of differential achievement is a result of language differences or real difference due to students ability.
