Abstract :
A survey was conducted to assess the level of knowledge of special education teachers when managing the behaviour of students with learning disabilities. A total of 60 participants were selected through random sampling among special education teachers teaching in Special Education Integration Programme (Learning Disabilities) primary schools. The instrument was a questionnaire containing items related to the demographic study participants and the level of knowledge of special education teachers when managing the behaviour of students with learning disabilities. The findings show that the level of knowledge of teachers when managing student behaviour with learning disabilities is high with mean 4.194. The knowledge level of teachers is divided into three, namely how to manage behavioural (mean = 4.237), positive reinforcement (mean = 4.366) and negative reinforcement (mean = 3.966). The upgrading of in-service courses, workshops and coaching modules related to management behaviour among special education teachers should be given more attention by the authorities to enhance the skills of teachers to manage behaviour when teaching students with learning disabilities,.
