Abstract
Globalization leveled national and international competition in economy with the help of neo-liberal politics. Competition brought up economical development and competition power of not only companies but also cities, countries and attendantly regions to the agenda. In this context, gaining a sustainable competitive advantage considerably depends on re-identifying their position in both national and international arena. In this study, international competitiveness of Turkey by sectors are analyzed with the help of Revealed Competitive Advantage index and the contribution of Thrace Region to the competitive sectors of Turkey is tried to be determined. According to results, the most competitive sectors of Turkey were found as garment, textile and fruits and vegetables sectors. The contribution of Thrace region to these sectors was observed as around 1 %.
