Abstract :
In the present knowledge the economy employees are considered to be the key competitive advantage and the most valuable asset of any organization. When knowledge employees leave an organization, they take their knowledge with them. The loss of knowledge represents a potential threat to organizations, in particular if a talented employee with important knowledge leaves to join a competitor. The article focuses on knowledge employees as knowledge carriers and owners of inborn talent. Based on the analysis of secondary data sources and synthesis of findings, we have identified the preconditions for the use of talent management and knowledge continuity management in work with knowledge employees who determine the overall performance of organizations and these preconditions have been critically evaluated. Subsequently, the advantages and disadvantages of the application of talent management and knowledge continuity management in relation to knowledge management have been determined and procedures for working with talented knowledge employees have been suggested. The utilization of talent of knowledge employees to achieve competitive advantage is important in all fields including agriculture, food production and forestry including environmental sciences, quality of agricultural products, agricultural and biological engineering, economics and management of agriculture and other similar fields
