Abstract :
Dear Editor, Raloxifene, one of selective estrogen receptor modulators, has been widely prescribed to relatively early postmenopausal women with osteoporosis and osteopenia since postmenopausal women on hormone therapy (HT) stopped the medication, and the number of postmenopausal women starting HT decreased, mainly because of the increased risks of breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases after the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) report.
