Abstract :
Despite the high incidence of drug abuse, dependence and addiction worldwide, treatments for these conditions remain minimally effective. Among the reasons that might contribute to the limited efficacy of both pharmacological and behavioral/psychological treatments for addictions are symptomatic and etiologic heterogeneity.
