Abstract :
During the 1970s, Islamic literature in Indonesia became a literary phenomenon. The acceleration of growth is caused by the rise of Islam globally that later impacted on Muslims in the country. Clearly, the literary world was not spared from the heat of this revival. In Indonesia, the furore occurs with the active involvement of Islamic missionary bodies. It also took place because of overwhelming support by the public and authorized institution such as pesantren. The symptoms of Islamic literature can be traced through the publication of Islamic works in literature, activities of Islamic literature and Islamic literary discourses. The phenomenon of Islamic literature in the republic is encouraged by non-governmental bodies. This situation prevails, among others because of differences in race and religion in Indonesia. The race and religion gap does not allow the government of Indonesia to promote the agenda of Islamic literature officially.
