Hubungan Harmonis dalam Novel Negeri Lima Menara

The novel acts as a medium to convey the values derived from the description of every aspect of human life as a whole either in terms of man’s relationship to man, man’s relationship with nature, human relationships with other creatures, as well as man’s relationship with God. This article examines A. Fuadi’s work, Negeri Lima Menara, a novel, focusing on the dimension of human relations. As a novelist he must have certain hope in his work. The research question of this study is “What is the main message in his work about human relations?” This aspect is very significant in determining the missionary strategy in the management of messages, especially the use of art, such as poem, short story, drama, etc. By using a qualitative method based on content analysis, it is found that the author asked to build Islamic brotherhood, ukhuwwah Islamiyah, without looking at the differences of sect, organisation and region of origin. He also illustrated the psychological impact on the people who breaks down the brotherhood. This study is also expected to bring more information to assess other dimensions contained in the novel such as sufism, politics, culture and others
