Implementation of Islamic Worship as A Therapy for Teenagers’ Sexual Misconduct: A Study on Selected Women Shelter Homes in Selangor

Worship in Islam is a mechanism that proven to have really huge influence in shaping the human behavioural system.By that, many researches done recently showing that most of the teenagers’ sexual problems are regarding with the ignorance of the aspect of worshipping. In order to protect and restore this matter, Baitul Ehsan (BES) and Taman Seri Puteri Cheras (TSPC) are among institutions created specifically to deal with the issues of misdeeds including the sexual misbehaviors involving teenagers. Thus, this very research is done to analyze how far the aspect of worship has been highlighted in the process of curing and restoring problematic teenagers of sexual issues in BES TSPC. Referring to study on documents, several interviews and observations done before, implementation of the aspect of Islamic worship in BES and TSPC has been arranged inside the academic module and religious module drafted in restoring teenagers sexual misconducts. Both these modules focusing on the theoretical and practical process of teaching and learning consisting specific worship doings featured in Pillars of Islam as well as other primary practices by certain methods that will be discussed later within this paper.
