Abstract
Purpose: In this article, we establish the exact solutions for the combined KdV-mKdV and Gardner-KP equations.Methods: The Exp-function method (EFM) is used to construct solitary and soliton solutions of nonlinear evolution equations.Results: This method is developed for searching the exact travelling wave solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations.Conclusions: It is shown that the EFM, with the help of symbolic computation, provides a straightforward and powerful mathematical tool for solving nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.
