Abstract :
The global economiclandscape after World War IIhas been facing the boom and bust cycle. However,the Global Financial Crisis (henceforthGFC) in 2008 wasthe most serious financial crisis after the Great Depressionin 1930,and it has triggered a severe disease incurrent economic growth.This book, The Age of Stagnation, reveals the facts of economic history and contemporaryfinancialissues. Satyajit Das discussesthefactors behind sluggish growth and criticizes the implementation of macroeconomic policies whichhasresulted in a deep stagnation with little hope ofattaininga level before the calamity.
