Abstract
Wheat straw, a raw material abundantly available in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was obtained from western province of the Kingdom and was thoroughly ground to powder form. Trichoderma viride was selected as experimental organism to produce protein-rich biomass. Hydrolyzed ground wheat straw gave the highest proteinrich biomass. The potent nitrogen source was found NH4NO3 at concentration of 5mg/ml compared to other sources. The microbial biomasses obtained was found to be rich in several biochemical constituents which allowed to be used as animal fodder with cheap cost.
