Abstract :
The present study aimed to evaluate effectiveness of concentrated and dilutedaqueous extract of rice bran (30 mg and 8 mg/kg bwt respectively) The obesity female Rats was induced by giving them glucose (4 g/kg of body weight) in many Physiological and biochemical parameters. Twenty adult female rats with weight range between 250 and 300g. The orally ingestion was kept up for (30) days. The results show the following: 1- Obese group suffered from a highly significant/ high and significant increase at level (P 0.001) on Lipid profile total cholesterol, Triglyceride and Low density lipoprotein and decrease on lower case “High” density of lipoprotein compared with the control group. 2- The obese group witnessed a highly significant increase (p 0.001) on Serum Glucose and Insulin level, Nitric oxide concentration, S. ALT and S. AST, S. activities compared with the control group, whereas serum Glutathione level showed a decrease compared with control group. 3- While the treated obese rats with concentrated rice bran extract (30 mg/ kg of body weight) had showed a significant decrease (p 0.01) in lipid profile, S. Glucose, S. Insulin level, S. ALT. And S. AST., Nitric oxide compared with control and diluted group, Glutathione level showed an increase as in obese rats. 4-Obese rats treated with Diluted Rice Bran Aqueous Extract (RBE) didn’t show significant effect on many physiological biochemical parameters compared with the other obese rats. The results indicated that physiological and biochemical parameters for rice bran aqueous extract might act as a potent antioxidant functional food.
